Hero. @wallaosg Although The Sims 2 now shows up in EA App, we will have to wait for EA to fix the download error, as it is a widespread issue. However, since it is registered to your account, you might still be able to run the game with EA App open after installing it from Origin, if that is your preference. 0. + XP.
I've added -w to the file path (if I don't do this I get a Directx error), followed multiple tutorials for changing the Graphics Rule settings, and currently I'm using Graphics Rules Maker with the recommended forced texture memory under Device Info. Absolutely no difference, no matter what I try the only resolution option ingame is 800x600. Other than that, I think the most you can get out of The Sims 2 is 72 or 100hz because it's so old, it just doesn't support 144hz. c3ciwi3. OP • 4 yr. ago. Yeah, unfortunately it is due the the M1 chip - the resolution wouldn't affect it. At least the Super Collection was recently updated to work the those chips! r/sims2.
The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection came with a fixed 800x600 screen resolution that could not be changed, at least not if you have one of the latest graphics cards - that's because the game does not recognize these.
